Our goal is to safeguard the health and safety of the North Greenville University (NGU) community. This Notice provides information we ask you to acknowledge and understand regarding the COVID‐19 virus. As the COVID‐19 virus is highly contagious and could be contracted from a variety of sources, our institution wants to ensure you are aware of the risks associated with being on campus at NGU. The COVID‐19 virus has a long incubation period; you or the campus staff may have the virus and not show symptoms and yet still be highly contagious. Due to the frequency and timing of interactions by students, employees, and visitors, the characteristics of the virus, and the characteristics of attending campus activities, there is a risk of you contracting the virus by merely being on campus.
Due to the potential risk of exposure, the NGU community and guests are asked to practice social distancing, engage in frequent handwashing, refrain from activities known to spread the virus, and to wear appropriate face-coverings if so desired. Members of the NGU community and guests to the campus are expected to familiarize themselves with NGU’s practices and protocols regarding COVID19 (ngu.edu/NGUstrong), as well as guidance from the South Carolina Department of Environmental Controls (scdhec.gov), and the Center for Disease Controls (cdc.gov).
